The BNB is responsible for protecting three species of endangered birds
that nest on the beach: the piping plover, the least tern and the black skimmer.
Anyone who has fought the masses to make a day of it at the Jersey shore during
the summer knows the challenges the BNB project faces in our effort to protect
and preserve these imperiled species. Volunteers are an integral part of this
project's success and we need your help. We need volunteers to assist with a
variety of duties, from nest protection and monitoring to educational outreach.
